Cross Style Conference Features

The conferences offer saturated focus in the message of the cross through worship, preaching and teaching. Each conference, with the exception of Evangelist Intern Training Camp / Cross Style Conference in Lebanon, begins Friday evening and concludes Sunday morning. Saturday is an intensive day of sessions both in the morning and the evening worship and preaching experience, and may also include a session after lunch.

A characteristic feature of many of the conferences is the "team approach" to preaching and teaching. Two messages are brought in each service by two different preachers in the midst of the worship experience. Great impact is experienced as the Holy Spirit weaves together all the components into one concentrated message.  Some churches hosting a conference may opt to only have one evangelist. 

Conferences are normally hosted by a local congregation who intentionally and prayerfully prepares to host this event.  We urge that the congregation view the conference as a spiritual focal point for the year and plan the church schedule accordingly.  The goal of the conference is that the families and individuals of the church would plan to be at the church for the conference sessions for the entire weekend.  In this way, we urge the church to view the conference as an opportunity for the church famiily to get away from the regular activities of life and "camp out" at the church by spending most of their time there during this one weekend of the year.  Something dynamic happens in the spiritual and physical realms as the entire church family comes together for the singular purpose of seeking for an entire weekend.  Toward this end, we urge serious planning and preparation for the conference including:

• Intensive prayer preparation.  We can send you a "Revival Preparation Video" to help the church in prayer focus in the 6 months preceding the meeting.  Our Cross Style Prayer Partners can also link with you to pray specifically for the conference.  Contact our office for assistance in this. 
• Clear all church calendar activities for that weekend and the week leading up to and following the conference.  Church families need to plan their time and energy for this event. 
• Plan for children's activities and nursery to be provided.  Do whatever it takes in your context to allow people to be able to come and "camp out" for the weekend. 
• It may be helpful to plan to have meals at the church during the weekend so that people can "camp out" at the church and be at the services without having to worry about getting home to fix meals.  This may also provide key times of fellowship and interaction between the services as people process the truth of the weekend together. 
• Plan specifically for the praise and worship in these weekend services. 

Conference Costs

There is no registration fee for the conferences. Opportunity to participate in a love offering or mission offering is provided in most cases. Watch this site for more particular details on conferences at specific locations and dates as they may vary slightly.  There is no set fee for the church to host a conference.  The church leadership will want to pray and plan for the Cross Style Conference in their church budget for the coming year as the Lord leads.  In addition to inviting the evangelist(s), the church may also want to consider inviting a song evangelist and children's evangelists.  Some of the Cross Style worship and children's evangelists may be available for the dates the church is planning.
